The Conference Hotel: Hilton Hotel and Executive Towers

Last Minute Hotel Reservation Update

  • For those of you that have waited to the last minute to reserve a room, demand for hotel rooms in downtown Portland is VERY high. The Hilton is out of rooms during our meeting and you may get lucky with a cancellation so checking is not a bad idea. Our back up hotel, the Paramount, is out of rooms on Tuesday now – they have other nights available (and again, checking for cancellations is a good idea). If you are looking for a hotel for the three core nights (Sunday, Monday and Tuesday) we have two new options for you to consider. The Portland City Center Marriott and the Portland Inn City Center (formerly Days Inn) are both about four blocks from the conference hotel (the Hilton) and provide you both a standard business class hotel and low cost (below the GSA rate) option. There will be about 10+ rooms available in each of these hotels. For the Marriott – they have rooms at $179 per night and you can book a room by calling 1 (800) 728-9290 and if you have any problems you can call Amber Cagle at 503/552-2201 – you can go on-line www.marriottportland.com . They have a room block for “ITE” to use to get this rate. For the Portland Inn City Center you can book a room by calling 503/221-1611 and if you have any problems call Todd Murchison at 503/484-0254 – their web site is www.portlandinncitycenter.com . They have rooms at $109 per night and government rates at $98 per night. We do not have a block at the Inn so make sure your reservation refers to the ITE group.

The Hilton Hotel and Executive Towers is the official conference hotel. Located in the heart of downtown Portland, the Hilton's central location is within blocks of downtown Portland's best restaurants, shopping and attractions. The Portland International Airport is also accessible via the MAX Light Rail (Red Line) which is located just one short block from the hotel. See the travel information conference page for details.

For Reservations
Make them here: The Hilton's Western District Conference reservations page.

The Hilton has blocked a series of rooms under the code “ite” that all meeting registrants are free to access. The room rate is $138 per night. If you would like to reserve your room on the web, please go to the conference web site established by the Hilton. The room blocks are:

  • 40 rooms on Saturday night (July 14)
  • 190 rooms on Sunday night (July 15)
  • 275 rooms on Monday night (July 16)
  • 275 rooms on Tuesday night (July 17)
  • 25 rooms on Wednesday night (July 18)

Once these rooms are taken by meeting registrants on any one night, you may find that the Hilton web site says that no rooms are available. That is NOT likely the case. There may not be rooms available at our conference rate on the one night that the block has sold out. You are encouraged to call the Hilton in Portland at 503 226-1611 and they will be able to assess the availability of rooms for you, including availability of the room block on other nights where we have NOT used up the rooms priced at $138 per night. During the summer, typical room rates for the Hilton are between $170 and $200 per night so you are encouraged to make your room reservation early!
