Getting to Portland: Transportation is Easy!

By Air: Just 20 minutes from downtown, Portland International Airport (PDX) is easy to use. Currently 16 passenger airlines serve PDX, with direct and non stop service to more than 100 cities worldwide. Light rail runs every fifteen minutes from the airport to 2 blocks away from the Hilton, so skip the rental car and enjoy walking! When you arrive at Portland International Airport you can walk from the baggage claim area to the light rail station (less than 500 feet) and for $2 you will arrive at the Pioneer Square Station which is two blocks from the Hilton Hotel, home of the 2007 ITE Western District Annual Meeting – only a 30 minute ride on the Red Line.
By Train: Portland Union Station is served by three scheduled Amtrak intercity passenger trains. Its a short bus ride or walk down Fifth Avenue to the Hilton Conference Hotel.
By TriMet: Portland's public transportation is excellent. Once you get to Portland, we are pretty sure that you don't need a car to enjoy the city. The conference hotel is located in "Fareless Sqaure" so all rides in this zone are free.
Maps of Portland (from the city of Portland's Office of Transportation) for driving or walking. Also, check the Oregon DOT's TripCheck website for traveler information.
