Fundamentals of Engineering Exam

Beginning in September, the University of Portland will offer a review course to prepare for the Fundamentals of Engineering Examination.  The course details are:

Wednesday Evenings, 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., September 8 to December 3, 2010 for General Topics (Morning Session) 1 Continuing Education Unit and Thursday Evenings, 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., January 20 to April 7, 2011 for Discipline Specific Topics (Afternoon Session) 1 Continuing Education Unit

Subjects of the Review for the General Topics (Morning Session) FE Exam

Chemistry, computers, dynamics, electrical circuits, engineering economics, fluid mechanics, materials science, mathematics, mechanics of materials, statics, and thermodynamics.

Subjects the Review for the Discipline Specific (Afternoon Session) FE Exam

Civil: Probability/statistics/ethics, surveying, transportation facilities, soil mechanics & foundations, structural analysis, structural design, hydrologic systems, construction materials, and environmental engineering.

The Oregon Section of ITE is please to offer the Oregon ITE Scholarship, to promote the advancement of the transportation profession by providing financial assistance to students pursuing degrees in transportation engineering or other related fields. Oregon ITE will award two scholarships in the amount of $1000 each. One will be awarded to an undergraduate student and one will be awarded to a graduate student.
