WTS Portland and the ITE Oregon Section invite you to a special reception and happy hour honoring Neelam Dorman and her recent election as ITE International President--the first Asian American woman and the youngest woman to hold this role in nearly 100 years of ITE’s history. Neelam currently serves as ITE International Vice President and will assume the presidency in 2027, leading a global community of 18,000 transportation professionals. Throughout her career, she has championed mobility, safety, and community-centered transportation solutions—and continues to inspire the next generation of engineers and planners.

As the Planning Manager for ODOT Region 1, a licensed engineer in Oregon and California, and a proud UC Irvine graduate, Neelam brings expertise in policy, funding, planning, and concept engineering. Her dedication to advancing meaningful transportation improvements truly embodies ITE’s mission.
