Stefan Bussey currently serves as a Student Chapter co-chair for Oregon ITE, helping to bridge the gap between Oregon’s professional and student ITE members. Over his time in the position, he has arranged many tours and presentations for students, coordinated participation in Oregon ITE’s annual Bill Kloos Traffic Bowl, and helped launch the Student Chapter Grant offered to Oregon ITE student groups to support chapter activities. He has been an active member of ITE since he was a civil engineering student at Portland State University, and throughout his professional career working in the transportation planning and engineering field as a private consultant and public servant. He looks forward to being able to continue supporting ITE and its role in creating an engaged, well-informed, and connected community of transportation professionals and students in Oregon.

My name is Carl Olson and I am honored to be considered for the position of Secretary-Treasurer with Oregon ITE. For the last two years I have been an Associate Traffic Engineer at Clackamas County primarily responsible for signal timing and other transportation engineering related items. Prior to joining the county, I worked at DKS Associates for five years as a Transportation Systems Engineer. In my free time, I love spending time with my wife and kiddos, fishing, camping, woodworking, and working on a variety of projects around the house.
I have been involved with ITE since 2010, first as Vice President of the student chapter at Portland State University, then as student chapter chair for Oregon ITE, and currently as an ITS Subcommittee Co-Chair for Oregon ITE. For me, Oregon ITE is more than just a chapter, but a group of friends who like to talk/learn/plan/attend/do all things transportation. As Secretary-Treasurer, my hope is to continue and support the great work of our fantastic board members and to provide value to the transportation profession and industry. |
