Oregon ITE has updated the March SimCap Luncheon to be hosted virtually! The Oregon ITE Simulation and Capacity Users Group Meeting (SimCap) is happy to host the March Luncheon. This workshop is all about data, so you don’t need to be a modeling or traffic analysis geek to attend, this session is for all transportation professionals.
Battle of the Big Data Platforms – Amanda Deering, DKS Associates
StreetLight. INRIX. Airsage. Teralytics. You've heard the names, but what's the difference between them? What is the user experience like? And how do I actually apply them to projects? Join us for a presentation on the pros and cons of the big names in big data, including real-life local project examples.
What’s New with PORTAL – Kristin Tufte, Portland State University
The PORTAL team will present an overview of the freeway, travel time and vehicle length information available on the PORTAL web site and will demonstrate how you can get valuable information on these data sources from PORTAL. In addition, the team will include examples of data analysis done with the PORTAL data.
Data Roundtable: Share Your Data Tips and Tricks
SimCap Co-Chairs Kate Petak (PBOT) and Randy Johnson (DKS) will lead a roundtable discussion on all things data. We will kick off the session with a brief presentation on “Google Maps/Earth: What Every Transportation Professional Should Know.” Do you have unique data sources or innovative data applications? Share your ideas! Please send your tips to share to Randy Johnson by 3/27.
