Engineering is a second career for me. I consider myself a carpenter with an engineering degree as I have spent time on jobsites building things since I was 13. At the age of 35 I went back to school and graduated from Portland State University in 2007. After graduation I continued my employment with Group Mackenzie where I had started as a summer intern in 2004. In 2014 I made the jump from private to public and spent the next five years in the Clark County, WA Traffic Operations group. in December of last year I came back south of the Columbia River and joined the Washington County, OR Signals group.
When I’m not working I still enjoy woodworking but most of my free time is spent making and playing music. I play in two original music rock bands in town Earth to Ashes (a 3-piece band where I play guitar and sing) and Splintered Throne (5-piece where I just play guitar).
